Water and More Water

The director’s personal micro-memories, as a woman, filmmaker and immigrant, constructs a communal heritage in a dreamlike portrait of Barcelona. Making this film, shot in double exposure on reversible double 8mm film, involving chance and the fragility of film, becomes a metaphor for the tension between memory and oblivion.

Francesca is a filmmaker born in Italy. She graduated from the Master’s in Essay Film in EICTV (Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión) in Cuba. She works in analogue and digital films and her production includes documentary, essay, experimental films and video art pieces.
