Kateryna Balabai is a member of The National Filmmakers Union of Ukraine since 2020. Kateryna was born on 8 February 1981 in Kharkiv (Ukraine). In 1997 graduated from music school with a degree in piano. In 2015 graduated from Kharkiv State Academy of Culture with a degree in «Film and Television Directing». From 2001 she works as journalist and editor in print and online magazines. 2007-2010 – journalist on the Kharkiv TV channel “Simon”, collaborates with national TV channels. Later she creates her own reports, films, essays. In 2016 she founded own production studio MEDIAGROUP 8, which creates feature and documentary films, social and commercial video content.
