Solace

An ageing war correspondent witnesses the death of a teenager during the siege of Aleppo. Back home, she is haunted by her traumatic experience, and manipulates her younger lover, an aspiring journalist, into making a dangerous decision.

Stepanka Cervinkova is a Czech-Australian filmmaker, currently working on her feature documentary debut My Longest Dive (produced by Incitus Films, No). Stepanka directs short films, commercials and human-rights oriented documentaries. Her short films have screened at film festivals around the world, and won several awards.
