The Ash Heap

Thaís DeMelo 5:00 Portugal

Ashes as art, as the expression of deterioration of a sculpture capturing the sublime beauty. The film embodies the expression of the erratic side of human beings, from birth, belonging, self-acceptance of the ugly, the misfit, our defects, our inner masks and the side that scares us and our natural ability to reconstruct our inner self to be somebody new after the storm pass.

Thaís DeMelo is a creative and film director from Brazil, based in Spain. Her works were screened and awarded in Film Festivals, Museums and Art Galleries around the globe such as MACA, Sundance, Sevil, Four Corners and many others.
