Johanna Sutherland 14:29 Sweden

Two young sisters spend Easter at their grandfather’s rural home in Sweden. Dressing up and playing, the recent passing and absence of their grandmother linger in the preparations for the day’s celebrations. A film about sisterhood and loss, and the first steps out of childhood and family traditions.

Hailing from Sweden, Johanna is a sound recorder and filmmaker based in London. A graduate of Edinburgh College of Art, she has worked predominantly in the sound department on film and documentaries. Her first short fiction, Lussevaka, set during the Swedish celebrations of Saint Lucia, has been screened at festivals across Europe.
