Lights Out is a multimedia piece with charcoal animation and home video footage. It helped me work through abuse that I suffered, and how that affected my life. It was the end of my innocence, but the piece signifies the beginning of a new part of life and healing.

Sarah Hawkins is a visual artist that specializes in traditional animation. She is inspired by her own personal traumas, being a woman, the subconscious role in the human experience, and dark, primal urges.
